SINDHI MODEL MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL is an offspring of the SINDHI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(MADRAS) which is a registered body.Conceived in a spirit of patriotic and dedicated service in the cause of education, it is meant to develop into a citadel of culture and fulfill a lofty mission. Through an integrated programme of instruction and activities, it strives to be a synthesis of traditional culture and progressive trend in modern education.
The main aim of the school authorities and their well-planned efforts from its inception, is directed to mould the mind, heart and soul of the child.

We established ‘The Sindhi Educational Society in the year 1974 with an aspiration of providing service in the field of education. Since then we have moved a long way in establishing four institutions, The Sindhi Model Senior Secondary School, Kellys, Sindhi Arts and Science College, Tiruverkadu, The Sindhi Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chetpet and The Sindhi School of Excellence, Tiruverkadu.
It has been a decade long journey, moving from 124 students and 15 teachers , to 700 students and 36 teachers under the leadership of a dynamic Principal Mrs. Lakshmi Saikumar.
Our school’s objective is to continue being recognized as a torch bearer of leading education methods and an institution that has students defining a future not only for them but for the world as well. We have and will continually strive for brighter and more secure prospects for our children.
The values and environment we provide for our children are sustainable and see them successfully through their formative years. The investment we put in to our children today will help them achieve greater heights and create the unimaginable. My sincere thanks to the school’s Principal, teachers and other staff members without whom these successes – big and small – would not be possible. They not only teach the children the subjects but also inculcate values of commitment, zealousness and pride in everything they do.

Giving food to a person is a great deed, but giving विद्या (education) is even better. The satisfaction obtained from food is momentary, but that procured from विद्या lasts a lifetime.
The gift of knowledge enlightens the soul and stays with a person throughout his lifetime and I am honored to be part of an institution which has been evoking towards, touching lives with the gift of knowledge and contributing towards this noble cause.
We are all where we are, because of the education we once received. But what is to be kept in mind is that we are all students and continue to learn something everyday. We at Sindhi Model Mat Hr. Sec. School believe in such holistic and interdependent learning to reach goals in life.
Shaping a minuscule of the future of our country, we believe in taking lessons from history, culture, evolution and promoting co-curricular activities, so that our students are equipped to face the world and create history, by being the change makers of tomorrow.

Greetings to the citizens of Madras.
We, the management, believe that the purpose of Education is to make our children innately wise and capable individuals by the time they leave our institution. Only then they will be able to handle the challenges in life and spread happiness and be successful. Sindhi Model Matriculation School, at 20, Nowroji Road, Chetpet was established by the members of the Sindhi Educational Society, Madras to provide quality education.
Keeping in mind that school is a building, which has four walls with a child’s tomorrow inside, which integrates academic, non curricular and practical activities we started this institution. The success of one institution gives birth to another, after 38 years of success of our school in Kellys, we saw huge demand for education in matriculation schools in the heart of Chennai. The Sindhi Educational Society Madras, started its new venture a decade back with just 124 students and operating only classes LKG to VIII. There was no looking back since then we have travelled 10 successful years today, playing a key role in shaping the lives of 700 students and growing from class VIII to XII now.
Our new offspring is known for its innovative and value based education. This institution is built up on impressive infrastructure which includes a beautiful urban campus, a well stocked library, state of art laboratories and recreational amenities. Since the mission of the school is to impart quality education, it constantly strives to attract good faculty for its students and provides them with good infrastructure and its purposeful supportive environment.
