RULES
- No pupil shall absent himself/herself without prior permission, except in the case of unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, an application for leave shall be sent to the Class Teacher, reaching the school office preferably by the afternoon or no later than the next day.
- The application for leave of absence shall be made on behalf of the pupil by his/her parent or guardian and addressed to the Class Teacher for a period not exceeding one day and to the Principal for more than a day.
- The Principal may grant leave only up to 3 days and, as a special case, for a further period of 3 days for unforeseen circumstances, with a total maximum of 6 days.
- On medical grounds, the Principal may grant leave, subject to receiving immediate intimation from the parent and the production of a valid doctor’s certificate upon rejoining. If medical leave is required for more than 10 days, a letter along with a medical certificate should be addressed to the Principal.
- In case of unauthorized absence, a fine must be paid at the discretion of the authorities. If the absence extends beyond two weeks, the child’s name will be removed from the rolls without any reference made to the parents.
- The Principal may refuse re-admission for a child whose name has been removed from the rolls without assigning any reason, and their decision will be final. However, the Principal reserves the discretion to re-admit the child as a special case on payment of a 4000/- re-admission fee.
- If children are absent at the time of re-opening after the summer vacation or term vacations, it will be viewed very seriously.
- Every pupil shall attend school for not less than 85% of the working days each year. Any breach of this rule may disqualify a pupil from being promoted to the higher class. Long leave due to marriages or any social functions will not be entertained.
- No pupil should be absent for any school function; the breach of this rule will be viewed very seriously.
- In case of late coming, school gates will close at 8:00 am, and children arriving late will not be allowed inside the school. Parents are requested to take their wards immediately, as the school authorities will not be responsible for their safety.
- Please note that you will receive a notification by message when your child is absent.
DISCIPLINARY RULES
- Pupils should arrive well in time for the morning assembly, no later than 8:00 am, but not earlier than 7:30 am.
- The individual and their attire must be tidy. Students with uncombed or long hair, dirty fingernails, etc., will not be admitted.
- Admission is also denied for those with communicable diseases or those not yet free from infection.
- Classrooms and school premises must be kept neat and tidy; scribbling, damaging furniture or fixtures is strictly forbidden. Pupils tampering with or breaking any furniture or fittings must reimburse the school for the loss incurred.
- If a student is found in possession of video games, calculators, cell phones, etc., they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the year. Disciplinary action will also be taken against such pupils.
- Perfect discipline must prevail during assembly and at all school functions.
- Pupil’s should always move in an orderly manner and proceed in a single line, maintaining silence.
- No pupil shall enter or leave the class without permission when lessons or other work is in progress. Those found contravening this rule will be dealt with severely.
- When a call goes to the parent or guardian in connection with his/her ward’s work or conduct in the school through the pupil, he/she will respond to it immediately in the interest of the pupil.
- No pupil shall enroll himself at any tutorial institution to appear for any examination or competition conducted by other agencies without the written permission of the Principal.
- No pupil of this school shall be a member of any outside organization or take part in any activity not connected with the school. Similarly, no pupil of the school shall collect funds or pay for tickets, etc., for external organizations or any function. Such pupils are likely to be expelled from the school.
- The school reserves the right to expel a pupil for serious irregularity of attendance, disobedience, malpractice at examinations, or any other act of indiscipline or misconduct to maintain the fair name of the school. The decision of the school authorities in this regard will be final.
- In the common academic interest of the students, parents are requested to follow all the rules and regulations of the school.
